pink shirt day
Did you know that Anti-bullying day originated in Canada in 2007? A student at a highschool in Nova Scotia was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. Two fellow students saw this and decided to take a stand. They bought pink shirts and the next day distributed them out to other students to wear to show their support for the boy who was being bullied.
On February 28th staff at Elim also showed their support by wearing pink shirts around the office. Even staff who usually dress in neutral colours went outside of their normal comfort zone to show support by wearing pink.
