Happy Canada Day!

On July 1, 1867, Canada commemorates the joining of the original three provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Canada province – later split into Ontario and Quebec). Now, every year on July 1st we celebrate this wonderful day all across the country. Every year at Elim Village residents get dressed up in their red and white and have a parade around the village. This year the parade comes complete with a BBQ.

Did you know B.C. was the sixth province to join Canada in 1871? Do you remember where your ancestors lived during that year?

Head over to our Facebook page for more great pictures from last years parade here at Elim Village Fleetwood. https://www.facebook.com/elimvillage/
