Job Summary

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support all aspects of administration with the Community Life Team. This employee will be an integral member of the Community Life Leadership team and must have a personal commitment to preserving and advancing Elim Village’s mission, key characteristics, and critical actions.


  • Post Secondary education within the Medical / Science or Business Field of Study
  • Understanding and is knowledgeable in older adult health and well-being would be an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in a business environment would be helpful
  • Ability to analyze information / data / research
  • Computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
  • Ability to be an analytical thinker and planner, with the ability to prioritize and execute plans
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workflow and deal with confidential matters and information
  • Capacity to work in a team environment and do multiple different tasks
  • Ability to complete tasks independently and is detail-oriented, with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates administration and organization skills, and has good communication skills


  • This is a temporary full-time position for 8 weeks +
  • Wages: $24.76 per hour


This position is supported by the Canada Summer Jobs (2024) program.

  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
