Job Summary
The Human Resources Administrator will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our human resources functions and programs. This position involves providing essential administrative assistance to ensure the smooth and efficient management of the following: recruitment and retention, employee record maintenance, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, and health and safety. Understanding and personal alignment with the values of Elim Village is a key component of the job.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
- CPHR designate or candidate would be an asset
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and applicant tracking systems
- Experience in full cycle recruitment including job postings, interviewing, reference checks and supporting new employee onboarding
Key Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department
- Assists in the operations of the Human Resources department
- Assists in the development and implementation of policies, programs and procedures
- Maintains accurate and comprehensive personnel and office records. Coordinates and monitors the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes
- Assisting managers with vetting resumes, setting up interviews and conducting interviews
- Able to learn and navigate through HR information systems
- Prepares formal communications to employees for review
- Responds to internal and external Human Resources related inquiries from employees, department managers, business partners, and other parties
- Maintains records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates
- Assists with payroll and benefits administration as required
- Assists with regular research and compliance initiatives regarding Human Resources issues
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required

- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, dealing with diverse personalities
- Able to communicate effectively with all members of the organization to achieve collective goals
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive material in an appropriate manner
- Skilled at planning and following up on projects ensuring they are completed in a timely manner in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under time constraints
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential

- This is a temporary full-time position, 14-month contract to cover for a maternity leave
- Competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience
- Wage Rate: $27.94 – $31.61 hourly
