Sixth Annual Ladies Tea
The sixth annual Ladies Tea took place in the Oasis auditorium on May 12th,2017. Each year this is a community gathering that the ladies in Independent Living plan months in advance, coordinate and decorate the venue themselves. This year the women decided to honour Canada’s 150th birthday by incorporating a Canada theme for the decorations and dress code. Each of the residents fashioned the tables with their own tea sets. Each tea set was unique and provided history as to its origin, including adding a personal touch to each table. All the women who attended wore red and white in accordance with the theme; while the men (both staff and residents), who volunteer to serve tea annually, wore black and white. While the turnout is always successful, thank you to all the event planners, coordinators and volunteers for making this event possible!
