Be inspired to live courageously at Elim’s annual Wellness Fair

What does it mean to live courageously? Sometimes it means taking a big leap. Other times, it’s as simple as trying something new, embracing change, finding a new sense of purpose, or continuing to grow when life takes an unexpected turn.

This year, Elim Village’s Health & Wellness Fair, happening Friday, October 2, invites you to explore those questions at a day filled with inspiring stories, entertainment, wellness, and connection. With “Courageous” as this year’s theme, the Fair will celebrate the many forms courage can take—and remind us that it’s never too late to begin again.

Now one of Elim Village’s biggest and most anticipated events of the year, the Health & Wellness Fair brings residents, family, friends, and guests together for a day filled with inspiration, connection, entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to learn something new.

What’s on the schedule

The Health & Wellness Fair is Elim Village’s biggest annual event, bringing together guests from across the community for a full day of engaging speakers, entertainment, shopping, food and connection.

Leading this year’s program is keynote speaker Laurie Shopland, a TEDx speaker and life coach who combines humour and storytelling to encourage people to embrace change and pursue greater purpose and joy. Her message is a reminder that it’s never too late to begin again, try something different, or take the next step toward a life that feels meaningful.

The day will also feature a Q&A panel with Elim residents, offering an opportunity to hear firsthand stories of courage, change, and growth. Guests can enjoy a fashion show featuring Art to Wear, with shopping opportunities to follow, as well as a special performance by the Nicolenco Trio.

And, as always, there’s plenty of time to simply enjoy the day together—with a delicious boxed lunch, snacks, music, prizes, a gift bag, and time to connect with friends and neighbours.

Free parking is available at Fleetwood Church, located at 9165 160 Street, Surrey. The Elim bus will shuttle guests between the church and The Oasis, with the ride taking approximately two minutes.
