Elim Village earns consecutive three-year accreditation from CARF International

We’re proud to share that Elim Village Full Care has once again earned a Three-Year Accreditation from CARF International — the highest level possible!

What is CARF?

CARF stands for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It’s an independent, nonprofit organization that evaluates healthcare providers around the world to ensure they meet high standards in areas like safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Receiving CARF accreditation means that an organization meets — or in Elim’s case, exceeds — expectations for the industry.

The Accreditation Process

Elim’s most recent accreditation survey took place on-site in Fleetwood this past May. Two experienced CARF surveyors spent several days reviewing our care practices, services, and facilities. They also conducted interviews with residents, family members, and staff across the organization.

Throughout the process, the surveyors consistently highlighted the strong sense of community that shines through every aspect of life at Elim.

Results to Celebrate

We’re pleased to report that Elim received only four partial recommendations out of more than 2,000 standards reviewed — a remarkable result!

Director of Care Jennifer Ladesma shared: “They were consistently impressed by the quality of our services, beauty of our grounds, and the deep sense of unity that runs throughout Elim Village.”

This achievement reflects the dedication, compassion, and professionalism our staff bring to their work each day. More than an external stamp of approval, this Three-Year Accreditation is an encouraging reminder that Elim is a place where older adults experience both excellent care and meaningful living.
